What made you choose Matt Mathews Photography for your boudoir experience?

“Initially, I chose Matt Matthews Photography for my boudoir experience because I wanted to see myself as “sexy” and my body as “beautiful” and I wanted to present this as a gift to my husband because I know this was an area where I have always struggled. However, life happened and I found myself being asked for a divorce a month before my session. I debated going through with the session, but I am so glad I did because this ended up being a treasured gift to myself. I feel like this session could not have been at a better time in my life.”

What was your favorite part about your session?

“My favorite part of my session was being comfortable in my skin. The atmosphere was nonjudgmental and very positive. Casey made me feel beautiful with hair and makeup and Matt made me feel like I was channeling Tyra Banks while he directed each and every pose!”

Were you nervous about your shoot?

“I was extremely nervous about my shoot. I was nervous about what to wear, and how it would look on. I was nervous about posing “right” and looking crazy. I was nervous about seeing myself in a way I never had before or even other people seeing me so intimately.”

What are you taking away from your boudoir experience?

“There is so much I get to take away from this boudoir experience. It gave me confidence in myself that I have never truly 100% had. Don’t get me wrong people have always complimented me on various features of my physical appearance and at times I feel pretty…but as I look through my pictures for the millionth time..I actually feel irreplaceable, I feel valuable, I feel strong, I feel sexy, and I feel beautiful. These feelings are priceless, and the pictures I have from this boudoir experience will always be physical reminder. “

Would you recommend a boudoir session to your friends?

“Most definitely, I think every woman should experience a boudoir session. It is an empowering feeling that I just do not have the words to explain.”
